About Beth Fox
I have delighted in color for as long as I can remember. When I was given my first box of 64 crayons I was ecstatic! I dumped them out and arranged them by hues. That made more sense to me than the haphazard order in which they arrived! As I grew up, my parents kept me in art supplies. I took a few art classes, but mostly learned from the art books that often accompanied the art supplies. I took art in high school and college. After I was married I took photography classes. Four children "interrupted" my art for awhile. Then I began to have problems with my eyesight and became visually handicapped. After four eye surgeries my vision was restored! I could see clearly for the first time in fourteen years! How thankful I am to God and a skilled retinal specialist for the restoration of my vision! When my eyesight was restored I began drawing and painting again. I pursued colored pencils, watercolor and oils. I learned from the books of many gifted artists. I knew I needed my own photos to work from so I picked up my camera. I studied books and blogs on flower and macro photography (a special shout-out to photographer Sue Bishop!). And I entered the amazing world of digital photography and digital art. I am a retired high school math teacher and I pastor a church with my husband. I have four grown children and ten dearly loved grandchildren. My life is full, my heart is happy! Hardly anything draws me closer to the presence of God or stirs my spirit more than a walk through the woods or wandering through gardens. I am drawn to the beauty of the colors and the play of light I see all around. I am a minimalist and a colorist. I hope you enjoy my photos and art work as much as I have enjoyed the journey that put them here! website: bethfoxart.com All of my photos and prints on FAA are copyright protected and may not be reproduced, copied or used for any purpose without my express consent.
